The mammals are the Javan Rhino, the Cuban Solenodon, the Pygmy Possum, the China Baiji, and the Echidna.
This is a 20-word 'tr' phonics blend spelling test. Students take 5 minutes to study the words, next they fold the spelling list back on the line, and then the spelling test is administered, students unfold the words, self-check, and then write the words they missed a few times on the line. A Google Doc version is also linked in case you want to change any of the words to customize it.

I designed this 5 paragraph expository text writing organizer to help my 3rd graders have space to restate the prompt, come up with three big ideas or main ideas, add details as well as cite text evidence, and then create a conclusion paragraph. This has been very beneficial to my teaching nonfiction text writing.
Students will read each of the 10 sentences and find 2 to 3 words that are misspelled. There is a word bank in alphabetical order for some added help on how to correctly spell the words.
